World Series Game 3: When Buck Met Schwarber

The Indians took the lead tonight in the World Series, 2 games to 1, but it’s kind of hard to notice, what with the bromance between hairplug aficionado Joe Buck and high school show choir stud Kyle Schwarber. The gushing has led some Indians’ fans to kindly go ahead and set up their wedding registry, though you’ll notice any items bought will go to charity, so that’s cool.

Now, let’s talk about the game. A classic pitching duel. Neither starter, the Cubs’ Kyle Hendricks or the Indians’ Josh Tomlin, allowed a run through the fifth – even though the Tribe loaded the bases in the fifth and was primed to break this wide open.

Nope. It took a grown man named Coco Crisp to make that happen.

With a 1-0 win, the Indians spoil the first World Series game at Wrigley in 481 years or so. It was definitely a classic pitchers’ duel, but the true star for Cubs’ fans was Bill Murray’s epic rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.”

Game 4 is tonight at Wrigley. Vince Vaughn has seventh inning stretch duties. Going to be another epic night.
