Jesse Ventura just gave us all the hottest of hot takes on the whole Colin Kaepernick protest.
It’s also one that makes the most sense.
Kaepernick started sitting on the bench during the national anthem during a preseason game in August as a way to bring attention to police killings of African-Americans.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick said after the team’s third preseason game. “To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
What do you think about Ventura’s stance? Let us know in the comments.
